Job Description

  • We are a mid-tier law firm seeking an HR Business Partner to join our team. seeking providing strategic HR support and guidance to the senior management and senior associates in the Firm to develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives which support the Firm’s overall business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Practice Manager, act as a strategic partner to the senior Management Team and Senior Associates to understand their business objectives and develop HR strategies to support them.
  • Support Firm-wide change initiatives, and partner with the Management Team and Senior Associates to ensure successful implementation.
  • Develop and manage the key HR strategies to align the Firm’s overall business objectives, including the talent management strategy, learning and development strategy, performance management strategy and compensation strategy to meet the Firm’s business needs.
  • Facilitate the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and development plans to ensure that the Firm maintains a high performing culture, taking into consideration key metrics that underpin the balance of well-being and productivity.
  • Analyze HR data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement and develop action plans to address them.
  • In conjunction with the Practice Manager coach Senior Associates on effective leadership and management practices.
  • Manage employee relations issues and provide guidance and advice on conflict resolution and employee discipline.
  • Provide guidance and advice to the Senior Associates on HR policies and procedures and to ensure compliance with HR laws and regulations, especially regarding employee relations, grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Develop and implement HR programs and initiatives to support employee engagement, retention, and development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, added advantage.
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner in a large Firm.
  • Preferred certification in SHPRi, and CIPM.
  • Use of PowerBI in analysing data.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing HR programs and initiatives that support business objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills, and ability to use HR metrics and data to drive decision-making.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leaders and influence decision-making
