Job Position: Business Development Officer

Job Locations: Abuja (FCT) and Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Description 

  • We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Officer to join our team.
  • This role is pivotal in driving growth by developing and maintaining client relationships, increasing sales, and identifying new business opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong account management skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to execute sales objectives effectively.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Increase sales through targeted business development strategies and effective account management.
  • Prepare quotes and proposals tailored to client needs, ensuring competitiveness and clarity.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients within target markets.
  • Prepare and submit sales contracts in accordance with established guidelines and deadlines.
  • Execute sales objectives, tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed to meet targets.
  • Identify, research, and approach potential clients to expand the client base.
  • Provide regular feedback and insights to management regarding market opportunities and client needs.
  • Train and mentor business development staff to enhance team performance and effectiveness.
  • Arrange and conduct meetings with prospective clients to present solutions and negotiate contracts.
  • Create persuasive sales pitches that effectively communicate the value proposition of our products/services.
  • Generate leads through various channels and execute prospecting initiatives to grow the client portfolio.
  • Negotiate sales contracts while ensuring compliance with company policies and maximizing profitability.
  • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives to support business development efforts and enhance brand visibility.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 2 – 5 of experience in business development, sales, or a related field, preferably in the building material Industry
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to conduct comprehensive market research and analyze data effectively.
  • Proficiency in developing quotes, proposals, and sales contracts.
  • Experience in lead generation and prospecting techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and foster a positive working environment.
