Job Overview

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Analyst to join our team on a 3-month renewable contract, with a monthly compensation.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in defining, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for mobile and web applications, focusing on the financial service industry.
  • This role will center on delivering solutions in areas such as banking, supply chain management, and invoice discounting, ensuring that Elara’s products align with client needs and industry standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather and document business requirements for mobile and web application projects specific to the financial service industry.
  • Process Analysis & Optimization: Analyze current processes within the financial service sector, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions to enhance operational efficiency, particularly in banking, supply chain management, and invoice discounting.
  • Documentation: Create detailed business requirement documents (BRD), functional requirement documents (FRD), user stories, and use cases to guide the development teams.
  • Solution Design: Work closely with product managers, developers, and UI/UX designers to convert business needs into functional solutions that meet project and client objectives.
  • Feasibility Studies & Risk Analysis: Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new system implementations or enhancements to existing platforms.
  • Testing & Validation: Oversee user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the final solution meets business and functional requirements.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on trends and emerging technologies within the financial service industry to help inform product development and strategy.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within the financial service industry.
  • Proven experience in mobile and web application development projects, particularly for financial institutions.
  • Strong understanding of financial services processes, including banking, supply chain management, and invoice discounting.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
  • Experience in Agile environments, with proficiency in creating user stories and working within Scrum teams.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, and process modeling software such as Microsoft Visio.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in financial technology solutions specific to the financial service industry.
  • Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the financial sector.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or PMI-PBA are advantageous.

Salary
N500,000 per month.
