Job Position: Product Development Executive

Job Description
- Our client is seeking a skilled Product Development Executive to oversee the formulation, quality control, and regulatory compliance of their tobacco products.
- This role will play a key part in ensuring the company meets its corporate objectives through material sourcing, blend creation, and production optimization.
Job Responsibilities
- Define and determine the quality and types of tobacco materials required for purchase to meet corporate objectives.
- Provide blend recipes for the Primary Manufacturing Department.
- Define and supply product specifications and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for product manufacturing in the Secondary Department.
- Provide product specifications and BOMs to the finance team for product costing and budgeting purposes.
- Ensure all products comply with the Nigerian Industrial Standard (NIS) and other regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine product and blend maintenance to minimize production disruptions due to stock-outs or non-conformity to quality and regulatory standards.
- Review analytical data of products, managing exceptions to ensure quality and regulatory standards are consistently met.
- Seek new opportunities in material sourcing, including leaf and wrapping materials, to optimize products and blends to align with corporate goals.
Job Requirements
- A Degree in Science (e.g., Chemistry, Biochemistry, Agriculture) is required.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in tobacco product formulation is essential.
- At least 3 years of laboratory analysis experience.
- Strong knowledge of product development and blend optimization in the tobacco industry.
