Job Position: Associate DevOps Engineer
Job Location: Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle.
- Manage cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring high availability and scalability.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues in production environments.
- Automate manual processes using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Maintain documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response activities.
- Continuously explore and implement new tools and technologies to improve efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Basic understanding of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Java).
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Familiarity with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or project experience in a DevOps or related role.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Experience with Agile methodologies.
