Job Description
- We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our media production team.
- As a Video Editor at Just Inches Limited, you will be responsible for assembling recorded footage into a polished final product that aligns with the vision of our creative team and clients.
- You will work closely with the production team to create impactful videos for various platforms, including commercials, promotional materials, corporate videos, documentaries, and social media content.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of storytelling, excellent technical skills in editing software, and a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality video output that meets the company’s standards.
Job Responsibilities
Video Editing:
- Assemble raw footage and transfer it into an organized sequence following the project’s storyboard or script.
- Trim footage segments and combine scenes, ensuring a smooth flow of the narrative.
- Edit footage to include music, sound effects, voiceovers, and graphics that enhance the storytelling.
- Perform color correction and grading to ensure visual consistency and enhance the overall aesthetic.
- Optimize video for multiple platforms, including social media, websites, and broadcast.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Creative Director, cinematographers, and other team members to understand the creative vision and translate it into the final product.
- Take creative direction and feedback from clients and stakeholders, making necessary revisions to achieve the desired outcome.
- Collaborate with sound designers, motion graphics artists, and other post-production professionals to ensure seamless integration of all elements.
Technical Maintenance:
- Maintain an organized editing workflow, managing digital assets and ensuring all project files are properly archived.
- Ensure timely delivery of final products according to project deadlines.
- Stay updated with the latest editing techniques, software, and industry trends.
Post-Production Enhancements:
- Implement visual effects and basic motion graphics to enhance video quality.
- Synchronize audio and video elements to ensure seamless integration.
- Export final cuts in the required formats and resolutions, ensuring the highest quality output.
Job Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional experience will be considered.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in video editing, preferably in a creative agency or media production company.
- Proven experience editing various types of content, such as corporate videos, advertisements, documentaries, and social media content.
- A strong portfolio showcasing your editing style and technical skills is required.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
- Knowledge of color grading, motion graphics, and visual effects.
- Familiarity with different video formats, codecs, frame rates, and resolutions for various platforms (web, social media, TV, etc.).
- Strong understanding of sound design, including syncing audio and adjusting levels.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail, with a creative mindset and storytelling ability.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
