Job Position: Production Technician

Job Location: Nigeria

Job Responsibilities

  • Will assist Senior Production Technician with all process operations and maintenance.
  • To carry out process and maintenance duties safely and professionally in accordance with HSEQ system.
  • Monitor and control the process take readings and record.
  • Ensure continuous process with minimum downtime.
  • Ensure functionality of instrumentation and controls as well as operating set points are maintained.
  • Familiarise yourself with the “Permit To Work System”.
  • Secure of all equipment for safe work conditions before signing the “Work Permit”.
  • Familiar with the safety shut-down system and know the necessary actions to be taken in the event of alarms / shut-down situations, i.e., ESD, fire and gas alarm.
  • Facilitate maintenance operations by applying/removing isolations as required.
  • Operate under PTW system, Toolbox talk, and Risk Assessment system.

Unit of Competence:

  • Prepare Process And Utility Systems For Operation.
  • Operate And Monitor Process And Utility Systems.
  • Prepare Process And Utility Systems For Shutdown.
  • Isolate And Reinstate Process And Utility Systems For Maintenance And Repair.
  • Monitor And Maintain Pollution Control Measures.
  • Carry Out Emergency Response Role.

Job Requirements

  • 2 years’ experience in hydrocarbon processing systems and utilities.
  • Knowledge of ESD F&G and DCS systems, Basic knowledge in chemical and/or process plant.
  • Good understanding of Permit to Work, Mechanical Isolation Standards and Risk Assessment.
