Job Description
- As we grow, we’re looking for a proactive and dynamic Business Development Manager to help us build strong relationships with our community and potential clients.
- The Business Development Manager will play a crucial role in both pre- and post-sales customer communications.
- You will be responsible for driving sales efforts, managing customer satisfaction, and growing our game community. If you have a passion for both games and building meaningful customer relationships, this might be the perfect role for you.
Job Responsibilities
Pre-Sales and Customer Acquisition:
- Build and maintain a list of potential clients, including game publishers, distributors, and strategic partners.
- Reach out to prospects via email campaigns, social media, and other communication channels.
- Develop presentations and marketing materials tailored to client needs.
- Engage in outreach and follow-up for potential business partnerships.
Post-Sales and Customer Communication:
- Manage ongoing communication with clients to ensure their satisfaction and address any queries or concerns.
- Act as a liaison between customers and our development teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
Sales and Marketing Management:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop marketing strategies aimed at promoting our gaming titles.
- Execute and oversee marketing campaigns, including social media, email, and community-focused events.
- Analyze marketing performance and adjust strategies accordingly to maximize engagement and sales.
Community Management and Development:
- Build, manage, and grow communities on platforms like Discord dedicated to our various game titles.
- Organize events, community updates, and interactive sessions to keep players engaged and informed.
- Monitor player feedback from the community and report actionable insights to the team.
Job Requirements
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, marketing, or community management.
- Prior experience in the gaming industry is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of driving sales and managing customer relationships.
- Experience with community management, particularly on platforms like Discord or Reddit, is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with email marketing tools, CRM software, and social media platforms.
- Knowledge of online community-building practices and player engagement techniques.
Personal Attributes:
- Passion for gaming and understanding of the indie game market.
- Proactive and self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to handle client queries professionally.
Understanding of Company Properties:
- Must have a solid understanding of the games and properties developed by the company, including their rules, mechanics, and unique features.
- This knowledge will be critical for ensuring accuracy and alignment in all aspects of the role, from game development to API integration.
