Job Position: Procurement Specialist

Job Description
- Our client- Imose Technologies Limited, an indigenous Mobile phone Company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring cost-effective sourcing, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and suppliers. This role requires in-depth knowledge of procurement principles, market trends, and compliance with local regulations to ensure smooth operations.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Identify, evaluate, and select vendors or suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure all procurement activities are documented and compliant with company policies.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory.
- Conduct market research to identify price trends and best practices in procurement.
- Collaborate with other departments to determine their procurement needs and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian laws and regulations regarding procurement and importation where applicable.
- Resolve disputes or discrepancies related to procurement activities promptly.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance.
Job Requirements
Educational Background:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, NIPSM, PMP) will be an added advantage.
Working Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within Nigeria.
- Experience with procurement software and systems.
Key Skills and Competencies:
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth understanding of procurement principles and market dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Additional Requirements:
- Knowledge of Nigerian regulatory requirements related to procurement and importation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to ethical practices and integrity.
Salary
- N200,000 to N350,000 depending on experience
