Job Position: Civil Engineer
Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- To consult with and provide guidance to project stakeholders and management regarding engineering requirements for construction of various designs, modifications, and structural repairs.
- Conduct on site investigations and analyze data (maps, reports, tests, drawings and others)
- Preparing and implementing project plans.
- Assesses strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel by testing materials and soil. He / she supervises the testing by third party in order to conform with engineering standards.
- Researching and providing estimates for projects.
- Assesses potential risks, materials and costs
- Monitoring and optimizing safety procedures, construction processes, and regulatory compliance.
- Confidently liaising with clients and other professional subcontractors.
- Estimates materials, equipment, and labour needed to determine project costs.
- Monitors project progress and ensures design specifications, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
- Project management duties (e.g. managing budgets, resources, and deadlines; acquiring and compiling quotes, etc.).
- On completion of a project, inspects, repairs, and maintains the structures as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Candidates should possess a B.Eng Degree with 3 – 10 years experience.
