Metwest Steel Limited was founded in the year 2008.Since then, we have emerged as a manufacturer and distributor of premium steel and non-ferrous products in West Africa. Our product portfolio includes steel billets, rebars, sections, wires, fasteners as well as aluminum, copper and lead ingots and more.We are a fully integrated scrap-based manufacturing unit located in Asaba, Delta State.

Our strategic location close to Onitsha, the biggest steel market in Nigeria, give usaccess to raw materials, markets, people and ports. Job Location: Asaba, Delta

Job Description

  • Administering accounting operations to meet legal requirements.

Job Responsibilities

  • Keep accurate records for all daily transactions
  • Prepare balance sheets
  • Process invoices
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Track bank deposits and payments
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Review and implement financial policies.

Job Requirements

  • B.Sc. or HND in Finance / Accounting
  • Higher educational qualification/professional certification in Accounting (ACA, ACCA) is an added advantage
  • 3 – 5 years relevant work experience in Accounting or Finance function.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of finance best practices, IFRS and other applicable accounting standards.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting packages and systems, preferably ERM.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good data gathering, analysis and problem solving skills
  • High ethical standards and integrity.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office tools.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
