Job Position: Senior UX Writer

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos
Work Style: Hybrid (1 Office Day Per Week)

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior UX Writer & Content Strategist to own customer-facing content and ensure that every interaction with our platform is seamless, informative, and frustration-free.

  • As a Senior UX Writer & Content Strategist, you will be responsible for crafting well-structured, engaging, and easy-to-understand content that helps customers navigate our platform, troubleshoot with ease, and maximize their PressOne experience.
  • This role blends UX writing, product education, and content strategy to drive customer satisfaction and product adoption.

Job Responsibilities
UX Writing & Content Strategy:

  1. Write clear, concise, and user-friendly content for emails, in-app messages, newsletters, blogs, and help guides.
  2. Simplify complex technical product features into digestible, non-technical content for business owners, managers, and teams.
  3. Develop engaging, conversion-focused content that enhances the user experience and reduces churn.

Enhancing Self-Serve Support:

  1. Build and continuously refine PressOne’s knowledge base, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
  2. Collaborate with the support team to create content that addresses frequent customer issues.
  3. Improve onboarding sequences and product education content to help new users set up their PressOne accounts successfully.

Collaboration & Content Optimisation:

  1. Work closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and customer support teams to ensure a seamless user experience.
  2. Conduct A/B testing and use customer insights to refine and improve content over time.
  3. Develop micro-copy (e.g., button labels, error messages, onboarding steps, tooltips) to improve product usability.

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience:

  1. 5+ years of experience in UX writing, content strategy, or related roles.
  2. Proven ability to write with clarity, simplicity, and precision—no fluff, no jargon.
  3. Experience writing for SaaS, B2C, or communication tools is a plus.
  4. Strong understanding of customer pain points and the ability to anticipate questions before they arise.
  5. Ability to structure content effectively using formatting, headings, and visual hierarchy.
  6. Experience working with cross-functional teams (product managers, designers, engineers, and customer support).
  7. Knowledge of A/B testing, customer insights, and content performance tracking.
  8. Familiarity with documentation tools like Slite is a plus.
  9. Impeccable proofreading and editing skills.
  10. Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into simple, customer-friendly content.
  11. Fast execution and high attention to detail.

Skills

  1. Customer Empathy – Deep understanding of customer pain points and how to solve them through content.
  2. Tech-Savvy but not Overly Technical – Comfortable with technical concepts but able to translate them into simple, clear messaging.
  3. Strong Portfolio – Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely, including UX writing samples, how-to guides, in-app messages, and product documentation.
  4. Problem-Solving Mindset – Ability to identify content gaps, propose solutions, and optimize existing content.
  5. Adaptability – Can adjust writing style based on different audiences and channels.
  6. Understanding of User Journey – Knows how content supports the entire customer experience, from onboarding to troubleshooting.

Compensation

N9,600,000 / Annum (Base) + Performance Bonus.
