Job Position: Head, Software Quality Assurance
Location: Lagos

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Software Quality Assurance to lead our QA team in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software solutions that support the bank’s digital transformation goals. The ideal candidate will drive the QA strategy, define standards, and establish robust testing processes across all digital platforms and the core banking application

Job Responsibilities

  1. Lead and manage the Software QA team, ensuring delivery of high-performance, secure, and reliable applications.
  2. Develop and implement a comprehensive software testing and QA framework aligned with banking industry standards.
  3. Define and monitor QA KPIs, test strategies, test plans, and automation frameworks.
  4. Collaborate with Product, Development, DevOps, and InfoSec teams to ensure end-to-end quality ownership.
  5. Oversee testing across all environments – including UAT, SIT, regression, performance, and security testing.
  6. Drive adoption of test automation, CI/CD practices, and Agile/DevOps methodologies.
  7. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards such as CBN guidelines, NDPR, ISO 27001, and PCI DSS.
  8. Manage vendor relationships and third-party testing engagements, as required.
  9. Provide regular QA reports to executive stakeholders, highlighting risk, quality metrics, and continuous improvement plans.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  2. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, PMP, Agile, etc.) is an advantage.
  3. 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  4. Strong understanding of banking systems, core banking applications, APIs, mobile and web platforms.
  5. Experience implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JMeter, Postman, etc.).
  6. Proven ability to manage large, complex QA efforts in Agile/Scrum environments.
  7. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
