Job Position: Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Supervisor
Location: Nigeria

Job Responsibilities
Supervision & Compliance:

  1. Supervise site safety officers and ensure HSE policies are consistently implemented.
  2. Monitor operations to ensure compliance with company, local, and international HSE standards.

Site Inspections & Audits:

  1. Conduct regular inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work activities.
  2. Identify unsafe acts or conditions and ensure timely correction and preventive actions.

Training & Development:

  1. Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and on-the-job training.
  2. Ensure all personnel are trained and competent in relevant HSE procedures and practices.

Incident Management:

  1. Lead the investigation of incidents and near misses; report findings and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  2. Maintain records of incidents and follow up on recommendations.

Emergency Preparedness:

  1. Ensure emergency response plans are in place and drills are conducted regularly.
  2. Coordinate first aid, fire response, and evacuation procedures when necessary.

Reporting:

  1. Compile and submit daily/weekly/monthly HSE reports to management.
  2. Maintain up-to-date documentation of HSE performance metrics, inspection records, and incident logs.

Environmental Oversight:

  1. Supervise waste disposal, environmental controls, and compliance with sustainability practices.
  2. Support environmental impact assessments and the implementation of mitigation measures.

Qualifications

Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 2-4 years of work experience.
