Job Description

The Production Chemist is responsible for overseeing and executing chemical manufacturing processes, ensuring that production is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves monitoring chemical reactions, maintaining equipment, managing documentation, and supporting continuous process improvements.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Execute Production Processes: Carry out chemical or pharmaceutical manufacturing as per batch production records (BPRs) and SOPs.
  2. Monitor Quality and Compliance: Ensure all products meet quality specifications and adhere to GMP, safety, and environmental standards.
  3. Equipment Handling: Operate and monitor reactors, mixers, dryers, and other production equipment.
  4. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of batch production, raw material usage, and deviations.
  5. Support Process Improvements: Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and process optimisation initiatives.

Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess a B.Sc. degree with 1 – 10 years of work experience.
