Job Position: Production Manager
Location: Lagos

 Job Overview

  1. This role is responsible for managing and overseeing the daily beverage production operations.
  2. This role ensures that production targets are met efficiently while maintaining the highest quality standards, safety protocols, and operational efficiency.
  3. The role will lead, motivate, and monitor a team of production staff, ensuring that all activities align with company policies, standards, and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and coordinate all production activities for manufacturing (Beverages).
  2. Allocate manpower and resources effectively to meet production targets and optimise workflow.
  3. Ensure the production line runs smoothly by monitoring equipment and resolving operational issues promptly.
  4. Execute daily production plans and schedules, working closely with the Plant Manager to meet production targets.
  5. Ensure that all products meet specified quality and quantity requirements.
  6. Monitor and control production parameters to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency throughout the shift.

Quality Assurance:

  1. Collaborate with the Quality Control team to implement corrective actions for any quality deviations.
  2. Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and quality protocols are strictly followed on the production floor.

Safety and Compliance:

  1. Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
  2. Ensure all operations comply with regulatory requirements and internal safety policies, such as hygiene and food safety standards.
  3. Address potential safety hazards or incidents immediately.

Qualifications

  1. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or an MBA is required
  2. Must have 12-15 years of experience in an FMCG, particularly beverage manufacturing
  3. Ability to communicate clearly
  4. Good Interpersonal skills
  5. Objective/Goal-oriented mentality
  6. Computer skills, e.g., MS Office, SAP
  7. Ability to work with data and present for decision-making
  8. Commitment to team leadership
  9. Ability to learn and apply best practices
  10. Ability to organise and plan Team tasks
  11. Flexibility and responsiveness to business needs
  12. Ability to overcome obstacles and organisational skills are necessary to complete assignments promptly.
