Job Position: Medical Training Coordinator
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Objectives

Conducts focused educational/training needs assessments within specified targeted audience; designs, develops, delivers, and evaluates a range of responsive medical educational training programs within defined fields of expertise to build and increase knowledge capacity, provide standardisation across all areas, thereby closing and addressing all identified gaps.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Create ideas that can be used across various platforms to support campaigns.
  2. Delivers group and individual instruction and training covering a range of technical, operational, and/or management areas in a specified field.
  3. Develops training curricula and/or recommends or utilises vendor programs that meet instructional goals and objectives.
  4. Formulates training outlines and determines instructional methods, utilising knowledge of specified training needs and effectiveness of such methods as individual training, group instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.
  5. Selects or develops training aids, including training handbooks, demonstration models, multimedia visual aids, computer tutorials, reference works, YouTube videos, and medical videos to aid training.
  6. Coordinates or performs administrative functions necessary to deliver and document training programs.
  7. Evaluates the effectiveness of training and development programs and utilises relevant evaluation data to revise or recommend changes in instructional objectives and methods.
  8. Assists in analysing and assessing training and development needs for individuals, communities, patients or high-net-worth Individuals.
  9. May review instructor performance and recommend improvements to program content and/or instructor presentation methods; may recruit, select, and train instructors.
  10. May lead, guide, and train employees, interns, and/or volunteers performing related work; may participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation.
  11. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, Medicine
  2. A minimum of 5-7 years’ Health Education, Medical Administration, and Medical Outreach
  3. A solid understanding of design, copy and web practices.
  4. Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Have in-depth knowledge of Medical training, Models, Topics, Apparatus
  6. Must be a creative and strategic thinker.

Competencies and Skills Required:

  1. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  2. Teaching and facilitation skills.
  3. Ability to determine training objectives.
  4. Organising and coordinating skills.
  5. Ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate training plans, curricula, and methodology.
  6. Skill in preparing instructional aids and plans.
  7. The confidence to share and present ideas internally and externally.
  8. Motivation and the desire to execute every job to the highest standard.
  9. The ability to deliver campaigns that generate results.
  10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  11. Implementation and facilitation of technical, operational, and/or speciality training events and programs;
  12. Designing and developing responsive programs and initiatives.
