PPC (formerly Philips Projects Centre) is a wholly Nigerian-owned multi-competency engineering and infrastructure development company. Its core activities are primarily geared towards providing specialized end-to-end services for projects in ICT, Power, Healthcare, Transportation, Building Services and other utility sectors.

Commencing operations in 1991 as Philips Projects Centre, an affiliate of Philips Electronics N.V. of the Netherlands. The PPC acronym was retained after a strategic management buyout of the Dutch parent company. Thus, with this strategic buyout, the old businesses were retained, with the added advantage of the exclusive distributorship of the numerous professional Philips’ products, and the provision of integrated solutions based on cutting-edge technology.

Job Description

  1. Develop strategy, marketing plan including developing product positioning, developing innovative key messages and defining the detailed plans for promotional/ advertising and sales activities in the country.
  2. Effective execution of all the marketing activities planned through the field force in co-ordination with the Senior Management.
  3. Plan new product launches from estimating the market size, to our volume plans , to final launch plan and then implement the same
  4. Research industry trends and competitive intelligence through survey and knowledge building programs to guide positioning decisions and ensuring that the field force is kept up to date.
  5. Design promotional inputs and schemes for the various verticals.
  6. Have close liaison with field force to assess the response to promotional materials and ensure that these materials are being used optimally.
  7. Deploy effective KOL strategy and monitor implementation.

Job Responsibilities

Digital Marketing:

  1. Plan and execute all web, SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns
  2. Design, build and maintain our social media presence
  3. Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  4. Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
  5. Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies
  6. Manage the design and upgrade the PPC website including producing relevant content on an ongoing basis.
  7. Manage external agencies /outsourced work

Education & Experience

  1. First Degree in Business Administration/ Marketing or any related field.
  2. Advanced degree in Marketing is a MUST;
  3. Advanced degree in Branding and digital marketing/ communications would be an added advantage.
  4. Knowledge of B2B markets a MUST.
  5. Minimum of 5+ years of marketing /digital marketing experience (client side or agency)
  6. Previous exposure to a broad range of digital marketing channels
  7. Experience in planning and executing events, workshops, symposia etc.
  8. Essential hands on experience managing Google AdWords,
  9. Proven experience in managing productivity, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Affiliations to Professional bodies would be an added advantage.
