Job Position: Art Director / Illustrator
Location: Lagos

Job Summary

A creative and visual problem solver with passion for high-level design, typography, imagery, and diverse visual communication principles for strategic storytelling.

Responsible for everything from original concepting of new designs and identities, to client workshop participation and strategic sessions, and diverse print and digital production.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design and produce marketing communications (print and digital) pieces for Poke and its clientele
  2. Collaborate with the creative team, internal account teams, and clients to develop creative solutions and then translate those solutions through a variety of channels.
  3. Shall be responsible for creating accurate costing and delivering programs within budgets.
  4. Stay current on industry trends.
  5. Producing diverse, highly imaginative print and digital media, with an eye for both fine detail and macro storytelling.
  6. Conceptualisation and origination of concepts, then follow-through to execution, and ● templated work.
  7. Self-management of workloads under tight deadlines.
  8. Working collaboratively with our remote team.
  9. Inspiring the remote team through their on-point design execution and imaginative concepts.

Requirements

  1. The job holder must have a Degree from a reputable institution.
  2. The candidate must possess 1-3 years’ design experience in an in-house creative department or design firm.
  3. Strong creative, organisational, problem-solving solving and time-management skills.
  4. Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Experience with HTML and very specifically Illustrator.
  5. Possesses strong conceptual skills, a high level of sense of design, layout and typography, broad thinker who can offer a variety of design solutions.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Expert knowledge in the graphic production process.
  8. Ability to handle projects from start to finish with minimal or no supervision.
