Job Position: Head, Supply Chain Management
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Profile Summary

The Head, Supply Chain leads end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and vendor management to ensure optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and supply continuity.

The role aligns supply chain strategies with the company’s business objectives and operational realities, while driving continuous improvement and digitisation across the value chain.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute the company’s supply chain strategy aligned with business goals.
  2. Oversee procurement planning, sourcing, and contract negotiation with vendors.
  3. Lead logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
  4. Manage inventory control, stock levels, and warehouse operations.
  5. Ensure regulatory compliance in importation, exportation, and local sourcing.
  6. Monitor supplier performance and manage strategic vendor relationships.
  7. Implement supply chain risk mitigation and business continuity plans.
  8. Drive digital transformation and supply chain process automation.
  9. Collaborate with departments to forecast demand and align supply priorities.
  10. Develop KPIs and dashboards for performance monitoring and decision support.

Requirements
Educational:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, or related field
  2. Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, APICS, PMP) preferred
  3. Master’s degree in Supply Chain or Business is an advantage

Functional Critical/Must Have:

  1. 10+ years in supply chain or procurement leadership roles
  2. Demonstrated experience in global sourcing, logistics, and inventory planning
  3. Strong understanding of Nigerian and international procurement regulations

Desirable:

  1. Experience managing maritime or offshore logistics
  2. Exposure to digital supply chain tools and automation platforms

N35,000,000 – N40,000,000 annually.
