Job Position: Experienced Sous Chef
Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manages kitchen shift operations and ensures compliance with all Food & Beverage policies, standards and procedures.
  2. Estimates daily production needs every week and communicates production needs to kitchen personnel daily.
  3. Assists the Executive Chef with all kitchen operations and preparation.
  4. Prepares and cooks foods of all types, either regularly or for special guests or functions.
  5. Develops, designs, or creates new applications, ideas, relationships, systems, or products, including artistic contributions.
  6. Assists in determining how food should be presented and creates decorative food displays.
  7. Maintains purchasing, receiving and food storage standards.
  8. Ensures compliance with food handling and sanitation standards.
  9. Performs all duties of kitchen managers and employees as necessary.
  10. Recognises superior quality products, presentations and flavour.
  11. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  12. Follows proper handling and the right temperature of all food products.
  13. Operates and maintains all department equipment and reports malfunctions.
  14. Checks the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.
  15. Leading Kitchen Operations
  16. Supervises and coordinates the activities of cooks and workers engaged in food preparation.
  17. Leads shifts while personally preparing food items and executing requests based on required specifications.
  18. Utilises interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
  19. Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
  20. Serves as a role model to demonstrate appropriate behaviours.
  21. Maintains the productivity level of employees.
  22. Ensures employees understand expectations and parameters.
  23. Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees and ensures employees do the same within the team.
  24. Ensures property policies are administered fairly and consistently.
  25. Communicates performance expectations through job descriptions for each position.
  26. Recognises successful performance and produces desired results.
  27. Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service
  28. Provides services that are above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.
  29. Manages day-to-day operations, ensuring the quality, standards and meeting the expectations of the customers daily.

  31. Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.
  32. Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  33. Handles guest problems and complaints.

Requirements

Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 9 – 13 years of work experience.

Salary
N300,000 – N400,000 / month.
