Job Position: Compliance Officer
Location: Kano

About the Role

We are seeking a Compliance Officer with strong experience in law enforcement engagement and regulatory compliance.

This role will serve as the key liaison between our organisation and external agencies such as the EFCC, DSS, NPF, CBN, and other regulatory/law enforcement bodies.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal and regulatory requests, coordinating internal investigations, and ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and standards.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Act as the primary point of contact for law enforcement and regulatory bodies
  2. Manage subpoenas, official inquiries, wallet/account restrictions, and court orders
  3. Work closely with internal teams, including Legal, Fraud, AML, and Compliance
  4. Maintain thorough and organised documentation of all agency communications
  5. Support internal investigations and regulatory audits
  6. Provide timely and accurate compliance reports

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminology, Business Administration, or a related field
  2. 2–3years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or law enforcement liaison role within a fintech or financial institution
  3. Strong understanding of AML/CFT frameworks and Nigerian regulatory structures
  4. Excellent communication, analytical, and documentation skills
  5. Certifications in Compliance, AML/CFT, or Fraud Investigation (e.g., CFE, CAMS) are an advantage
