Job Description
A digital salesperson is responsible for using online channels to identify, engage, and convert potential customers into clients, building relationships, and identifying solutions to address business challenges.
They focus on driving sales growth through digital platforms, often working with marketing teams to develop effective sales strategies.
This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to analyse campaign performance and adapt strategies accordingly.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead Generation and Qualification: Identifying and qualifying potential clients through various online channels, market research, and networking.
- Relationship Building: Developing and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their needs, and identifying growth opportunities.
- Product/Service Presentation: Effectively communicating the benefits of products or services to potential clients, addressing their concerns, and tailoring solutions to meet their specific needs.
- Sales Strategy Development: Collaborating with marketing teams to develop and implement effective sales strategies, including content creation and digital marketing campaigns.
- Sales Target Achievement: Meeting and exceeding sales targets, contributing to the overall growth of the business.
- Performance Monitoring: Tracking and analysing the performance of digital campaigns, identifying areas for improvement, and optimising strategies for better results.
- Client Relationship Management: Managing client interactions, providing support, and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and the latest digital marketing techniques.
Skills and Qualifications
- Interested candidates should possess an HND / Bachelor’s Degree with 3 – 4 years of work experience.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective engagement with clients and team members.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively to close deals and build strong client relationships.
- Sales Acumen: Strong sales aptitude and experience in consultative selling techniques.
- Digital Marketing Knowledge: Familiarity with various digital marketing platforms, strategies, and tools.
- CRM Proficiency: Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software for lead management and sales tracking.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve client issues and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
