Our focus is to bring out-of-the-box meal selections to Lagos’ on-the-go consumer. Job Position: Senior Accountant
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos

Job Responsibilities
Financial Oversight & Supervision:

  1. Supervise and review bookkeeping, transaction postings, and reconciliations carried out by junior accountants.
  2. Oversee the integrity of financial data across ledgers, journals, and subledgers.
  3. Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and financial reporting standards.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

  1. Lead the preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  2. Perform variance analysis and deliver insights into operational and financial performance.
  3. Present financial summaries and interpretations to management with recommendations for improvement.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Cost Control:

  1. Coordinate the company-wide budgeting process and update forecasts based on actuals and trend analysis.
  2. Track and report on cost centres (food, labour, operations), highlighting variances and inefficiencies.
  3. Provide financial models and scenario analyses to support business planning and decision-making.

Audit, Compliance & Risk Management:

  1. Ensure finance operations are audit-ready; manage both internal and external audit processes.
  2. Maintain and update compliance trackers for PAYE, VAT, Pension, WHT, and other obligations.
  3. Monitor internal controls and implement improvements to reduce risks and enhance financial accuracy.

Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight:

  1. Review ageing reports and monitor the timely collection of receivables.
  2. Authorise and monitor payment schedules for vendors and contractors.
  3. Resolve escalated issues with suppliers or customers related to invoicing, payment, or reconciliation.

Team Leadership & Development:

  1. Mentor and train junior finance team members, including accountants and finance assistants.
  2. Delegate tasks and review deliverables for quality and accuracy.

Requirements

Interested candidates should possess a B.Sc Degree with 4 years of work experience.
