Job Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Nigeria

 Job Objective

To maintain equipment and production facility systems to ensure optimal reliability and availability, in alignment with equipment strategy or as required during corrective maintenance.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Ensures the safe and optimum operation of process equipment within established parameters and operating targets through targeted preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  2. Forestall, respond, and react to abnormal equipment and system conditions that might degrade into unwanted situations.
  3. Follow approved and established procedures as outlined by the Competency Assurance Standard
  4. Fully utilise Work Execution System tools and other processes to achieve an accident-free workplace (JSA, LMRA, O&I, Procedures and Processes)
  5. Deploy Facility Safety Management System; “Behaviour Based” Job Observation program, inspections, safety programs, hazard identifications (HAZID), Near Miss and Incident Reporting and investigation as assigned.
  6. Support the Emergency Response Preparedness program as required.
  7. Develop and review work packages for safe execution of planned maintenance activities.
  8. Follow all procedures, standards and regulations required during the execution of their duties.
  9. Comply with all regulatory laws and guidelines.
  10. Report any noncompliance or irregularities upon discovery to the supervisor and support resolution as required.
  11. Develop, obtain approval and implement measures to address identified non-compliance or irregularities.
  12. Maintain and service control equipment to support operations and optimise unit productivity targets.

Requirements

  1. At least a Higher National Diploma (HND) with Upper Credit or City & Guilds Finals with equivalent in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics, Instrumentation & Civil).
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering General
  3. Two (2) to eight (8) years of relevant oil and gas operational experience.
  4. Ability to perform tasks with minimum supervision.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
  6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  7. NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
