Job Position: Marketer

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Marketing Officer to join our client’s growing FMCG team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and expanding our brand presence across the South-East region. This role requires a dynamic individual with strong communication skills, a high sense of integrity, and a passion for learning.

The Marketing Officer will be expected to travel frequently within the region and drive the company’s market share through proactive engagement and innovative marketing strategies.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Brand Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies to promote the company’s products and increase market penetration across the South-East region.
  2. Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand consumer preferences, competition, and industry trends in the region.
  3. Customer Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, retailers, and distributors. Organise events, promotions, and product launches to enhance brand visibility.
  4. Sales Support: Work closely with the sales team to drive sales and achieve targets through effective marketing campaigns and promotional activities.
  5. Travelling and Fieldwork: Regularly travel across the South-East region to monitor market conditions, promote products, and gather feedback from customers and stakeholders.
  6. Reporting: Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, including tracking sales growth, customer acquisition, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
  7. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the marketing team, sales team, and other departments to implement initiatives that align with company goals.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on marketing trends and best practices, and be proactive in recommending new approaches to improve the company’s market position.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 3-4 years of experience in marketing or a related role, preferably in FMCG.

  2. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  3. High sense of integrity and professionalism.
  4. Self-motivated, goal-driven, and eager to learn.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Strong organisational and time management skills.
  7. Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive.
  8. High level of agility and flexibility with a readiness to travel frequently.
  9. Preferably male to ensure gender balance in the department.

Salary
N200,000 Net/month + Attractive Sales Commission.
