Job Summary

The Nurse will provide high-quality patient care within a multi-specialist hospital setting, supporting various medical departments and ensuring the best possible outcomes for patients.

The role involves direct patient care, health education, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and strict adherence to professional and ethical standards.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised patient care plans across different specialities.
  2. Administer medications, injections, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Monitor, record, and report changes in patients’ conditions to the appropriate healthcare team members.
  4. Assist doctors during examinations, procedures, and surgeries.
  5. Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, post-care instructions, and healthy lifestyle practices.
  6. Coordinate referrals to other specialists and departments for comprehensive care.
  7. Maintain accurate, confidential, and timely patient records in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
  8. Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and families, fostering trust and comfort.
  9. Operate and maintain medical equipment used in diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring.
  10. Manage wound care, catheterisation, and other specialised nursing procedures
  11. Uphold strict infection control and patient safety protocols.
  12. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  13. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide first-line clinical interventions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree.
  2. Registered Nurse (RN) certification with a valid practising license from the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
  3. Minimum of 4 years of nursing experience, preferably in a multi-specialist or tertiary care hospital.
  4. Strong clinical skills with the ability to work across multiple specialities.
  5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments.
  7. Basic life support (BLS) and advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) certifications are an advantage.

Working Conditions

  1. Shift-based schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
  2. Physical stamina to handle extended periods of standing and patient handling.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 monthly.
