Job Position: IT Officer
Location: Lagos Ibadan Expressway, Ogun

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and proactive IT Officer to manage and support the company’s information technology infrastructure.

The IT Officer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, security, and reliability of all IT systems, networks, and devices across the organisation.

The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and a focus on maintaining business continuity while supporting end-users.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage, maintain, and support the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, devices, and cloud services.
  2. Monitor system performance and implement necessary updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure optimal functionality.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly to minimise downtime.
  4. Assist in the deployment and configuration of new IT equipment, software, and systems for employees.
  5. Ensure data security, backup procedures, and disaster recovery plans are implemented and maintained.
  6. Maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights across all IT systems.
  7. Provide technical support and training to employees, addressing IT-related inquiries and challenges.
  8. Monitor IT inventory, including hardware, software licenses, and other technology assets, and ensure accurate records.
  9. Collaborate with external vendors and service providers to maintain IT contracts and service levels.
  10. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations.
  11. Implement and enforce IT policies, standards, and procedures in line with company requirements.
  12. Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance IT efficiency and security

Competencies

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, but not mandatory.
  2. Proven experience as an IT Officer, IT Support, or in a similar IT role.
  3. Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, hardware, software, and cloud-based services.
  4. Experience with network administration, server management, and IT security protocols.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  6. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple IT tasks simultaneously.
  7. Effective communication skills to provide support to non-technical staff and collaborate with external vendors.
  8. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and OneDrive) and other relevant software.

Reporting Relationships:

  1. Reports to: Administration Manager
  2. Key Collaborations: All Departments, External Service Providers, and Vendors

Interactions:

  1. Internal: All employees utilising IT services or devices
  2. External: Service providers, Vendors, Consultants, Auditors, and Regulators.

Benefits

  1. Salary: N300,000 – N500,000 / month.
