Job Position: Hotel Human Resources Manager
Location: Surelere, Lagos

Job Summary

A Hotel HR Manager ensures the right people are hired, trained, motivated, and retained to deliver excellent hospitality services while maintaining a compliant, safe, and positive workplace.

Job Responsibilities
Recruitment & Staffing:

  1. Develops job descriptions and posts vacancies.
  2. Screens, interviews, and selects suitable candidates.
  3. Ensures proper staffing levels to meet operational needs.
  4. Oversees onboarding and induction of new employees.

Training & Development:

  1. Organises staff training on hospitality standards, customer service, and safety.
  2. Implements career development programs.
  3. Ensures continuous learning and upskilling for employees.

Employee Relations:

  1. Acts as a link between management and staff.
  2. Addresses employee grievances, complaints, and conflicts.
  3. Promotes teamwork, motivation, and a positive workplace culture.
  4. Ensures compliance with labour laws and hotel policies.

Performance Management:

  1. Conducts employee performance appraisals.
  2. Sets KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) for staff.
  3. Recognises and rewards outstanding performance.
  4. Identifies underperformance and provides coaching or corrective measures.

Compensation & Benefits:

  1. Administers payroll, allowances, and staff incentives.
  2. Manages staff welfare programs, healthcare, and insurance.
  3. Designs competitive compensation packages to attract and retain talent.

Policy & Compliance:

  1. Develops HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook.
  2. Ensures the hotel complies with labour regulations, safety, and ethical standards.
  3. Oversees disciplinary actions fairly and professionally.

Health, Safety & Well-being:

  1. Implements workplace safety standards.
  2. Oversees health and wellness programs.
  3. Ensures safe working conditions for all staff.

Strategic HR Management:

  1. Plans workforce requirements in line with hotel expansion or peak seasons.
  2. Works with management to align HR strategies with business goals.
  3. Supports organisational change, restructuring, and succession planning.

Requirements

Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with experience.

Salary
N200,000 – N300,000 / Month.
