Job Position: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules for equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure smooth operations at all our warehouses
- Supervise and lead maintenance staff across all locations to ensure timely execution of tasks and adherence to safety standards
- Conduct regular inspections of automobiles and equipment to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Manage repair and replacement processes for faulty or outdated machinery and systems
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all maintenance activities
- Oversee the procurement of maintenance supplies and parts, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs
- Coordinate with other departments to address maintenance needs and minimise operational disruptions
- Develop strategies for energy efficiency and cost savings in facility operations
- Troubleshoot complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
- Plan and execute preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime
- Monitor maintenance budgets and control expenses to ensure efficiency
- Manage relationships with external contractors across Nigeria and vendors for specialised maintenance services.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years in maintenance management of automobiles with a proven track record of managing vehicles and equipment.
- Proficiency in maintenance management systems and tools, as well as a strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency with MS Office.
