Job Position: Front-End Developer
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Role Summary

Responsible for creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for websites and web applications.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop responsive and interactive web interfaces using React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and TailwindCSS.
  2. Collaborate with designers to translate Figma or design mockups into pixel-perfect components.
  3. Optimise applications for maximum performance and cross-browser compatibility.
  4. Implement state management using tools like Redux, Context API, or Zustand.
  5. Integrate RESTful APIs or GraphQL endpoints to connect the frontend with backend services.
  6. Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to maintain high-quality code.
  7. Follow Git-based workflows for version control and collaborate with other developers.
  8. Work with Next.js for server-side rendering (SSR) and SEO-optimised frontend when needed.
  9. Collaborate with the backend team on Node.js integration and ensure smooth API communication.
  10. Stay up to date with the latest frontend trends, tools, and best practices.
  11. Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code, using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  12. Collaborate with designers to translate visual mockups into working interfaces
  13. Testing and debugging code to ensure it functions correctly across various browsers and devices
  14. Implementing responsive design principles to ensure the website or application looks good on different screen sizes
  15. Optimising website performance by leveraging techniques such as lazy loading, image optimisation, and minification
  16. Maintain and improve the frontend codebase
  17. Continuous creation of a positive user experience of the visual elements of the website
  18. Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in frontend development
  19. Working with backend developers to integrate frontend code with the server-side application
  20. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness
  21. Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree/HND in Computer Science / Engineering, Software Engineering, or any related field
  2. 2+ years of experience in frontend development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

Core Expertise:

  1. Strong proficiency in React.js (hooks, functional components, lifecycle management).
  2. HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+).
  3. TailwindCSS and modern responsive design principles.

Frameworks & Tools:

  1. Experience with Next.js (nice-to-have).
  2. Familiarity with Node.js and Express (for basic integration).
  3. Proficiency in Git / GitHub / GitAction workflows.
  4. Knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP APIs and GraphQL.

Design & UI/UX Collaboration:

  1. Ability to translate Figma/Adobe XD designs to production-ready UI.
  2. Knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG) and cross-browser compatibility.

Nice-to-Have:

  1. Familiarity with TypeScript for scalable frontend development.
  2. Experience with unit testing and component testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
  3. Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
  4. Understanding of SEO principles for SPAs and SSR applications.
