Job Position: Head of Media / Marketing
Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Brief

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Media & Marketing to lead our team and drive our organisation’s marketing strategy and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, strategic thinking abilities, and a proven track record of success in marketing management.

This role requires creativity, innovation, and the ability to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns and programs.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan to achieve organisational goals and objectives.
  2. Lead and manage the marketing team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  3. Define and execute marketing campaigns, programs, and initiatives across multiple channels, including digital, social media, email, events, and traditional media.
  4. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and customer segmentation to identify target audiences, market trends, and opportunities.
  5. Create and oversee the implementation of marketing collateral, content, and materials, such as websites, brochures, presentations, and advertisements.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product development, and customer service, to align marketing activities with business strategies and priorities.
  7. Measure and analyse marketing performance metrics, such as leads, conversions, ROI, and customer acquisition costs, to evaluate campaign effectiveness and optimise marketing efforts.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in marketing and advertising.
  9. Represent the organisation in marketing-related activities, events, and industry associations to enhance brand visibility and reputation.

Requirements and Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
  2. Proven experience in marketing management, with a focus on strategy development, campaign execution, and team leadership.
  3. Strong understanding of marketing principles, practices, and techniques across digital and traditional channels.
  4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  5. Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  6. Creativity, innovation, and the ability to think outside the box.
  7. An analytical mindset and proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
  8. Results-driven and goal-oriented mindset.
