Job: Finance & Admin Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting:
- Maintain accurate financial records (income, expenses, payroll, petty cash).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Manage payments to suppliers, vendors, and staff.
- Monitor budgets and cash flow to ensure sustainability.
- Ensure tax compliance (PAYE, VAT, withholding tax, etc.) in line with Nigerian laws.
- Support in financial planning for fashion shows, events, and product launches.
Inventory Management:
- Track inventory of fabrics, accessories, finished products, and consumables.
- Reconcile stock records with sales and production outputs.
- Implement controls to minimise wastage, loss, or theft.
- Work closely with production and retail staff to ensure accurate stock updates.
Administration:
- Oversee day-to-day office operations (supplies, utilities, vendor contracts).
- Draft, organise, and manage company policies, forms, and official records.
- Support in event planning/logistics for fashion shows and exhibitions.
- Handle internal and external correspondence.
Human Resources Support:
- Maintain employee records (contracts, leave schedules, performance reviews).
- Support in recruitment, onboarding, and training processes.
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian Labour Law and company policies.
- Foster a positive workplace culture in line with Zalong’s brand values.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fields
- Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience in a finance/admin role (fashion/retail sector an added advantage).
- Professional certifications (ICAN/ACCA) are a plus, but not mandatory
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and Nigerian tax compliance.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
- Organisational and multitasking skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Integrity, reliability, and confidentiality.
