Job Position: Account Officer
Location: Island, Lagos

Job Summary

The Account Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, handling accounts payable/receivable, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, integrity, and attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
  2. Manage accounts payable and receivable; ensure timely payments and collections.
  3. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
  4. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review.
  5. Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenditure against the budget.
  6. Ensure compliance with tax regulations (PAYE, VAT, WHT) and support audits.
  7. Process payroll in collaboration with the HR/Admin department.
  8. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
  2. Minimum of 3 years’ proven experience as an Account Officer or in a similar role.
  3. Professional certification (ICAN, ACA, or ACCA) is an added advantage.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Salary
N150,000 Monthly.
