Job Position: Business Development Executive (HR Consulting)
Location: Surulere, Lagos

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Business Development Executive with around 1 year of experience in an HR consulting environment.

The ideal candidate will help grow the firm’s client base, build strong relationships, and contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies in the HR solutions space.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Identify target industries, companies, and decision-makers for HR consulting services (talent acquisition, HR outsourcing, compliance, training, etc.).
  2. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads through cold calls, emails, social outreach, networking, and inbound inquiries.
  3. Initiate contact with potential clients, understand their HR pain points, and position our services as solutions.
  4. Schedule and conduct discovery calls, meetings, and product demonstrations with client stakeholders.
  5. Assist in preparing tailored proposals, RFP responses, and service quotes.
  6. Support contract negotiations in collaboration with the leadership and delivery teams.
  7. Develop and nurture partnerships with recruitment firms, training providers, and other HR-related vendors to expand referral networks.
  8. Monitor competitive landscape, pricing trends, and client feedback to refine value propositions.
  9. Maintain accurate records of activities, opportunities, and communications in the CRM.
  10. Provide regular reports on pipeline status, forecasts, and key metrics.
  11. Represent the firm at industry events, webinars, and networking sessions.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field.
  2. 1 year in business development, sales, or client-facing roles within HR consulting, HR services, staffing, or related B2B domains.
  3. Basic understanding of HR functions
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust quickly.
  6. Ability to interpret client needs, prepare concise proposals, and assess market opportunities.
