Job Position: Senior Business Development Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Job Summary
As the Business Development Manager, you will lead the strategic growth of both core arms of the organisation:
- Wellness Services – Telephone counselling, EAP programs, and corporate training.
- Product Sales – Distribution and expansion of our proprietary urine drug test kits.
- You will play a senior role in shaping and executing business strategies, building lasting partnerships, and ensuring revenue generation.
Job Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Revenue Growth:
- Design and implement a comprehensive business development strategy covering both service and product streams.
- Set and track revenue goals, market penetration metrics, and business performance KPIs.
- Work with clinical and operational teams to sync business strategies with service delivery.
Wellness Arm (EAP, Counselling & Training):
- Identify and secure partnerships with corporations, NGOs, and institutions for EAP programs and mental wellness training.
- Drive sales of B2B and B2C wellness services through strategic proposals, presentations, and relationship-building.
- Oversee client onboarding, engagement, and long-term retention strategies, working with the clinical team.
Product Arm (Urine Drug Test Kits):
- Expand distribution channels for drug test kits across health institutions, rehab centres, government agencies, and corporate clients.
- Lead market entry strategies for new regions and sectors, including pricing, marketing, and stakeholder engagement.
Team Leadership & Collaboration:
- Supervise junior business development staff and provide mentorship to enhance team performance.
- Liaise with the social media team to develop campaigns that promote brand awareness and service visibility.
- Represent the organisation at external meetings, conferences, and trade exhibitions.
- Making presentations to prospective clients and networking to increase company visibility.
- Studying customer needs to effectively direct sales efforts and provide informed advice about our products and services.
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, as well as creating weekly and monthly reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Leading the expansion of our services nationwide and implementing new business development initiatives strategically.
- Maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients and partners, ensuring high satisfaction and repeat business.
- Analyse client feedback and market needs to refine and adapt offerings.
- Actively support long-term partnerships that align with the organisation’s mission and values.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, or a related field (MBA is a strong plus).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development, preferably within healthcare, wellness, or diagnostics.
- Proven leadership in managing multi-stream business operations or service lines.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and data-driven decision-making skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed across regions for market expansion.
