Kay’s Perfumery is a leading luxury fragrance brand, proudly Nigerian, dedicated to crafting elegant, hypoallergenic, and memorable perfumes, home fragrances, scented products, and experiences. We are seeking a customer-focused Retail & Customer Experience Associate to serve as the face of our brand at our Flagship store in Abuja, ensuring every client enjoys a premium in-store experience that reflects our values of sophistication, quality, and warmth.

About the Role

This role is central to the customer journey at Kay’s Perfumery.

The Retail & Customer Experience Associate will be responsible for delivering exceptional service, managing in-store operations, and driving product sales through personalised engagement.

You will be our clients’ first impression — blending hospitality with product knowledge and service excellence.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Deliver outstanding in-store customer service that reflects our luxury brand values.
  2. Lead all in-store and digital sales processes, including upselling, cross-selling, and proactive after-sales client follow-up.
  3. Collaborate with the Content Creator to curate, edit, and post engaging content across all social media platforms.
  4. Actively engage with customers through comments, direct messages, and enquiries on social media to build relationships and drive sales.
  5. Keep social media pages “alive” by posting authentic behind-the-scenes updates and highlighting in-store happenings.
  6. Maintain aesthetic standards and ensure the store remains organised, attractive, and brand-aligned.
  7. Accurately log daily sales, track payment methods, and generate timely weekly sales reports.
  8. Collect, document, and share customer feedback with the Marketing and Production teams to inform strategy and improve offerings.
  9. Oversee the packaging of orders and restocking inventory during peak periods.
  10. Promote product discovery through scent testing, storytelling, and personalised recommendations.
  11. Support the achievement of store-level KPIs and proactively contribute innovative ideas for growth.

Qualifications & Skills

  1. Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree
  2. 2 – 3 years previous retail, sales, or hospitality experience (beauty, lifestyle, or fashion preferred)
  3. Strong interpersonal and excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Confidence in selling and building premium client relationships
  5. Ability to work independently and in a small team
  6. Highly organised with attention to detail and an eye for luxury
  7. Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and basic inventory management
  8. A passion for beauty, luxury, or fragrance is a strong advantage
  9. Proximity to or living around Wuse 2, Abuja.

Success in this Position looks like:

  1. Consistently exceeding weekly and monthly sales targets, both in-store and online.
  2. Managing enquiries and driving conversions through WhatsApp, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
  3. Receiving excellent customer feedback, reviews, and repeat purchases.
  4. Maintaining a beautifully organised, aesthetically pleasing, and welcoming store environment.
  5. Ensuring social media pages remain vibrant and engaging through consistent posting, behind-the-scenes content, and real-time interactions with customers.
  6. Accurately reporting sales data, customer insights, and engagement metrics to support data-driven decisions.
  7. Working closely with the Production and Content/Marketing teams so that client feedback informs product development and marketing strategy.

Compensation & Benefits

  1. Monthly base salary of N150,000
