Job Position: HR Business Partner (HRBP)
Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and strategic HR Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team in Abuja.

The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders and management, aligning HR strategies with organisational goals to drive business performance and foster a positive work environment.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with business leaders to understand organisational goals and develop HR strategies that support and drive these objectives.
  2. Serve as a trusted advisor on HR-related matters, including talent management, employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.
  3. Partner with department heads to assess workforce needs and design effective recruitment and staffing plans.
  4. Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and provide strategic hiring recommendations to ensure talent alignment.
  5. Provide expert guidance to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  6. Manage and resolve employee relations issues, including conflict resolution, investigations, and disciplinary actions, fairly and consistently.
  7. Design and lead training programs on key topics such as performance management, workplace diversity, and harassment prevention.
  8. Analyse HR metrics to identify trends and recommend data-driven strategies for enhancing employee engagement, productivity, and retention.
  9. Ensure compliance with local labour laws and regulations, while proactively mitigating legal and reputational risks.
  10. Contribute to broader HR initiatives and projects that enhance organisational capability and culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree or HR certification (e.g., CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, PHRI) is highly desirable.
  2. Proven experience as an HR Business Partner or in a similar HR leadership role, preferably within a dynamic or high-growth environment.
  3. Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and organisational behaviour principles, especially within the Nigerian labour context.
  4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organisation.
  5. Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and collaborate with stakeholders to drive performance and cultural alignment.
  6. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  7. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  8. Proficiency in HR Information Systems (HRIS) and related HR software tools.
  9. Excellent project management skills and a keen attention to detail.

Salary
N400,000 – N500,000 Monthly.
