Job Position: Full Stack Developer
Location: Lagos

Job Description

As we expand our digital offerings, we’re looking for a skilled Full Stack Developer to join our technical team and help us scale, optimise, and innovate across our product suite.

Objective

To build, maintain, and improve the Passnownow e-learning platform across both frontend and backend systems, ensuring high performance, scalability, and a seamless user experience for students and educators.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and maintain both frontend interfaces and backend systems of the platform
  2. Collaborate with product, content, and design teams to build new features
  3. Ensure the application is scalable, secure, and optimised for performance
  4. Integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services as needed
  5. Conduct regular testing, debugging, and refactoring
  6. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues promptly

KPI & Performance Metrics:

  1. Deployment of features on schedule
  2. System uptime and performance benchmarks
  3. Bug resolution turnaround time
  4. Code quality, scalability, and documentation completeness

Collaboration & Approval Workflows:

  1. Reports to the Product Manager and Creative Lead
  2. Works closely with designers, content teams, and QA engineers
  3. Code reviews and deployment approvals handled by Tech Lead

Quality Control Expectations:

  1. Clean, well-documented, and maintainable code
  2. Adherence to best practices in software development and security
  3. Regular testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) before deployment

Required Skills

  1. Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Blade Templates, Bootstrap, Tailwind and React)
  2. Strong backend development experience using PHP (Laravel) and Python
  3. Solid understanding of relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, SQLite, and MongoDB)
  4. Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
  5. Familiarity with DevOps practices, Content Management System (WordPress), version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines
  6. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
