Job Position: Inventory Officer
Location: Isheri, Ogun

Job Description

The Inventory Officer will be responsible for accurate weighing, handling, recording, and reconciliation of raw materials and finished goods.

The role ensures compliance with inventory control procedures, supports production needs, and maintains proper stock records in line with company standards.

Job Responsibilities
Raw Materials Handling:

  1. Receive and verify raw materials against delivery documents (invoices, delivery notes, GRNs).
  2. Accurately weigh and record raw materials before issuance to production.
  3. Ensure proper labelling, storage, and traceability of raw materials.
  4. Monitor usage of raw materials and update stock balances daily.
  5. Report discrepancies, shortages, or damages immediately.

Finished Goods Handling:

  1. Record and store finished goods from production in designated locations.
  2. Maintain accurate stock cards/bin cards and ERP entries for finished products.
  3. Conduct regular cycle counts and support monthly/quarterly stock reconciliation.
  4. Ensure safe and hygienic handling of finished goods to maintain quality standards.
  5. Prepare finished goods for dispatch according to customer or distribution requirements.

Inventory Control:

  1. Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records for both raw materials and finished goods.
  2. Support stock reconciliation exercises and provide variance reports.
  3. Assist in implementing FIFO/FEFO principles in raw materials and finished goods handling.
  4. Ensure compliance with company SOPs, safety, and quality standards.

Requirements

  1. OND / HND / B.Sc. in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in inventory/warehouse operations (preferably in manufacturing or FMCG industry).
  3. Experience in raw material weighing and handling, as well as finished goods management.
  4. Good knowledge of inventory systems (manual and electronic).
  5. Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  6. Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications.
  7. Integrity, accountability, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Reporting Line:

  1. Reports to: Warehouse & Logistics Manager / Inventory Supervisor
  2. Works closely with: Production, Procurement, and Quality Assurance Teams.

Salary
N200,000 monthly net, along with HMO, pension, and other benefits.
