Job Position: Business Development Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager with a proven strong network among corporate clients in the FMCG sector, including companies such as Fanmilk and agricultural farms.

The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of FMCG distribution channels and the ability to build and leverage such networks to drive business growth.

This role demands entrepreneurial drive, strong sales expertise, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-growth environments.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Leverage and expand an existing network of corporate clients in FMCG, Fanmilk, farms, and related sectors to identify new business opportunities.
  2. Build and maintain strategic relationships with distributors, resellers, agents, and key corporate partners to strengthen distribution channels.
  3. Develop and execute targeted sales strategies focused on the FMCG sector and agricultural value chains to accelerate market penetration and revenue growth.
  4. Conduct in-depth market research and competitive analysis with a focus on FMCG distribution dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
  5. Represent Koolboks at industry trade shows, exhibitions, and networking forums relevant to the FMCG and agricultural sectors.
  6. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop go-to-market plans that resonate with FMCG and farm-based customer segments.
  7. Ensure efficient after-sales support and timely delivery through strong coordination with distribution partners.
  8. Maintain expert knowledge of Koolboks products and their value propositions tailored for FMCG and agricultural clients.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  2. Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in sales or business development within FMCG, agribusiness, or related sectors.
  3. Demonstrated strong network and established relationships with FMCG corporates such as Fanmilk, farms, and distributors across Nigeria and/or other African markets.
  4. Deep understanding of FMCG distribution channels and dynamics in Nigerian and regional markets.
  5. Track record of achieving and surpassing sales targets through strategic relationship-building and business development.
  6. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Willingness and ability to travel frequently within Nigeria and internationally.
  8. Experience managing B2B and B2C sales channels.
  9. Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently in a startup or growth-phase environment.
  10. Passion for impact-driven businesses; knowledge of clean energy or refrigeration solutions is an advantage.
