Job Position: Quality Control Officer
Location: Ajah, Lagos

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and observant Quality Assurance Officer to uphold product excellence across our bakery operations.

From raw materials to finished goods, and even the team behind the process, you will play a vital role in ensuring everything meets our quality and hygiene benchmarks.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Product Quality Control: Inspect and evaluate bread and pastries for consistency, taste, appearance, and packaging quality.
  2. Process Monitoring: Ensure baking processes strictly follow set procedures, recipes, temperature controls, and timing standards.
  3. Raw Material Inspection: Check incoming ingredients for freshness, quality, and compliance with standards.
  4. Personnel Hygiene Oversight: Monitor the health, hygiene, and attitude of bakers, slicers, and the production team to ensure peak performance and product safety.
  5. Facility Sanitation: Verify the cleanliness of work areas, equipment, and storage to maintain a food-safe environment.
  6. Compliance & Reporting: Document quality checks, flag non-conformance, and generate routine reports for management review.
  7. Continuous Improvement: Recommend process improvements and quality-enhancing initiatives based on findings and customer feedback.

Requirements

  1. OND / HND / B.Sc. in Microbiology, Food Science, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field
  2. Previous experience in food production or quality assurance, especially in a bakery or FMCG environment, is an added advantage
  3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and quality
  4. Excellent observation, record-keeping, and communication skills
  5. Assertiveness to enforce quality standards without compromise
  6. Physically fit, with the stamina to oversee production processes and conduct inspections throughout the day
  7. Must reside within Ajah, Sangotedo, or nearby locations.
