Job Position: Legal HR Officer
Location: Lagos

Job Responsibilities

  1. Draft, vet and review contracts and advice accordingly.
  2. Evaluate information to determine compliance with standards.
  3. Offer legal advice and support on issues that may affect the company.
  4. Ensure compliance with all the necessary statutory obligations.
  5. Supervise and manage employees’ issues with the company.
  6. Proficiency in drafting official letters.
  7. Proper file documentation and company secretarial issues.
  8. Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting comply.
  9. Studies legislation, arbitration decisions, and collective bargaining contracts to assess industry trends.
  10. Any other related tasks.

Qualifications / Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
  2. A Master’s degree or professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, etc.) is an advantage.
  3. A minimum of 4 years of experience in human resources and legal compliance.
  4. Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and regulations.
  5. Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  6. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  7. Thoroughness in legal document review and compliance matters.
  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management software.
