Job Position: Audit Manager
Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Job Purpose

The Audit Manager will play a strategic role in assessing and enhancing the effectiveness of the organisation’s production efficiency, risk management, internal controls, and governance processes.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities, sound professional judgment, and a proven record of success in internal audit, risk management, or related accounting and finance leadership roles, with 5–7 years of relevant experience.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Plan, execute, and lead internal audit engagements in accordance with the bi-annual audit plan and professional audit standards.
  2. Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management systems.
  3. Identify business process improvement opportunities and recommend corrective measures to strengthen operational efficiency and compliance.
  4. Prepare comprehensive audit reports with actionable recommendations for management and the Audit Committee.
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory frameworks, accounting standards (IFRS), and internal policies.
  6. Support the development and monitoring of enterprise risk management (ERM) initiatives.
  7. Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior auditors, providing professional guidance and performance feedback.
  8. Follow up on audit findings and management action plans to ensure timely implementation.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess control implications of new business processes, systems, and technologies.
  10. Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal audit methodologies and practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc.) or HND in Accounting or other numerate disciplines.
  2. Professional Certification: Member of ICAN or ACCA (mandatory).
  3. Experience: 5–7 years of relevant experience in internal/external audit, risk management, or managerial accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  4. Industry Experience: Prior experience in a cable manufacturing company or related manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  5. Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of IFRS, internal control frameworks, and risk management standards.
  6. Tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit/analytics tools; experience in data analytics is an added advantage.
  7. Skills: Excellent report writing, presentation, and communication abilities.
  8. Attributes: High ethical standards, integrity, strong analytical and decision-making skills.
