Job Position: Account Officer
Location: Ikota, Lagos

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a comprehensive accounting role.

You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing directly to the company’s financial health and strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibilities
As an Account Officer, you will work closely with the Senior Accountant and be responsible for a range of critical duties, including:

  1. Bookkeeping & General Ledger: Managing the daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensuring the general ledger is maintained accurately.
  2. Bank Reconciliation: Performing monthly reconciliation of bank statements to the general ledger.
  3. Invoice & Expense Processing: Handling all company invoicing, tracking expense reports, and processing payments to vendors and suppliers.
  4. Reporting: Preparing various financial reports for management, including budget-to-actual variance analysis.

Qualifications

  1. Education: A Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  2. Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  3. Soft Skills: High level of attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
  4. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
  5. Proximity to the location (Ikota) is key.

Salary
N180,000 – N250,000 per month.
