Job Position: Procurement Officer
Location: Lagos

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to manage the company’s procurement and supply chain operations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing vendors, negotiating contracts, expediting purchase orders, and ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.

This role requires a strong understanding of procurement processes within the Oil & Gas/EPC sector.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Manage the procurement cycle from requisition to delivery.
  2. Prepare, review, and expedite purchase orders to guarantee timely supply.
  3. Source and evaluate vendors while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
  4. Negotiate favourable terms and contracts to maximise cost savings.
  5. Monitor and manage inventory, ensuring the availability of critical items.
  6. Collaborate with finance to reconcile invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
  7. Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and documentation.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations.
  9. Support budget planning and cost-control measures.

Experience and Skills

  1. B.Sc. in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. 3 – 5 years’ proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role.
  3. Experience in the Oil & Gas / EPC industry is an added advantage.
  4. Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, vendor management, and contract negotiation.
  5. Proficiency in procurement and ERP software.
  6. Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and reporting.
  7. Excellent communication, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  8. Professional certification (CIPS or equivalent) is a strong advantage.

Salary
N200,000 – N250,000 Monthly.
