Role Overview

The Chief of Staff plays a critical Leadership role managing the Chairman’s executive office to drive the company’s growth, expansion and strategic initiatives in fulfilment of organisational structure

Objectives. you will use the delegated authority of the Chairman to manage projects, coordinate peoples (internal and external), drive corporate objectives, and provide active support to the Chairman’s duties of overseeing operational aspects of the businesses inclusive of corporate assurance activities, investments, operations & maintenance, project management, capital raise, finance, human resources, risk management and so on.

You will therefore be responsible for managing the Chairman’s executive office, along with all the teams, responsibilities, and targets within his executive office

Key Focus Area

  1. Strategic Leadership: Oversee the daily administration and task management of the Chairman’s office, coordinating and following through on assignments delegated by the Chairman to the various people (directorate leaders, consultants, advisors, board members, customers, government agencies & their officials, etc).
  2. The Chief of Staff will ensure that all directorates, departments, business units and subsidiaries are working in full alignment with each other through cross-functional collaborations, as well as ensuring everyone is in perfect alignment with the organisation’s culture and vision as laid down by the Chairman. In addition to the above, the Chief of Staff will actively support the Chairman of the company in the formulation, execution and adaptation of the company’s long-term strategy, aligning with the vision of expanding energy infrastructure across Africa and other jurisdictions of the company’s interest.
  3. Business Leadership: The Chief of Staff must possess the ability to lead businesses, investment initiatives and enterprises (both existing and new ones), and to effectively manage these enterprises most profitably and sustainably possible.
  4. Efficient Time, Tasks and Targets “3Ts” Management: ensure that the Chairman’s time is maximally utilised, high efficiency in prioritising daily tasks, relentless effectiveness in achieving targets within set deadlines, and freeing up time for the Chairman to allow him to focus on management of more strategic matters. This requires you to keep track of all projects across the Company on behalf of the Chairman and prompt reporting of progress on all affairs. Seamless Communications Management: In addition to being an exceptional communicator with the capacity to establish and excellently manage process flow, work progresses, etc, of all other Management staff to deliver assigned deliverables within stipulated timelines, you will be accountable for high dexterity in managing the Chairman’s internal and external communications responsibilities, ensuring conversations/tasks do not drop off
  5. Corporate Assurance and Business Management: initiate the planning of, as well as ensure close monitoring, corporate oversight and critical inputs of the Company’s key financial, technical, commercial, operational and compliance key performance indicators. He/She will constantly assess the markets for relevant information and data, and research new technologies, products and services the company could innovate to create new markets.

Key Competencies & Ideal Candidate

  1. Advanced degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (MBA preferred)
  2. A strong communicator and proactive problem-solver with demonstrable team serial teams building and team management capabilities
  3. A crisis manager, problem-solver and strong mediator for the best interests of the Company, as well as those of the Chairman
  4. Strategic Thinking & Visioning: Ability to develop, articulate long-term strategies for growth and expansion, as well as aligning those corporate, business & financial strategies with organisational goals.
  5. Market Intelligence: leveraging data, industry trends and market analysis to inform strategy.
  6. High-level stakeholder management skills
  7. Risk oversight and regulatory navigation.

Salary
N3,000,000 monthly.
