Job Position: Full-Stack Web Developer
Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos

Role Overview

As a Full-Stack Web Developer & Graphic Designer, you will play a dual role, blending technical expertise in web development with creative proficiency in graphic design.

You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain user-friendly web applications while also creating visually appealing graphic designs that enhance user experience and align with our brand identity.

Job Responsibilities
Full-Stack Web Development:

  1. Design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-centric websites and web applications.
  2. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code using languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP).
  3. Build and integrate APIs, databases, and server-side applications.
  4. Troubleshoot and debug to optimise performance and fix bugs.
  5. Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  6. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into functional features.

Graphic Design:

  1. Create compelling visual assets, including web layouts, UI elements, logos, banners, and marketing materials.
  2. Develop cohesive branding materials and guidelines.
  3. Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Figma to design engaging visuals.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to ensure designs align with the overall strategy.
  5. Conduct user research and apply feedback to enhance design effectiveness.

Requirements
Technical Skills:

  1. Certified and proficient in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js).
  2. Experience with backend development using languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP.
  3. Certification and knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
  4. Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Fundamentals)
  5. Agile and Scrum certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster)
  6. Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
  7. Experience with web hosting platforms and deployment tools.

Design Skills:

  1. Proficient in graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD) or Figma.
  2. Strong portfolio showcasing web and graphic design projects.
  3. Understanding of typography, colour theory, and design principles.
  4. Knowledge of UX/UI design methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s or HND degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design or a related field
  2. Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow.
  3. Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing tools.
  4. Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
  5. Previous experience in a similar dual role.
