Job Description

A reputable restaurant in Wuse 2, Abuja, is seeking to hire a creative and results-driven Social Media Manager to oversee and grow its online presence.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of social media trends, content creation, and community engagement.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop, implement, and manage the restaurant’s social media strategy across all platforms.
  2. Create engaging content (text, image, and video) tailored to each platform (Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, etc.).
  3. Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers, building a strong online community.
  4. Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to align social content with brand goals and campaigns.
  5. Analyse metrics to measure performance, optimise content, and report on ROI.
  6. Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices, trends, tools, and platform updates.
  7. Plan and execute paid social media campaigns and promotions.
  8. Manage and grow influencer partnerships and UGC (user-generated content).
  9. Handle reputation management and customer inquiries on social media platforms.

Requirements

  1. A bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
  2. 3 – 5 years proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably in the hospitality or lifestyle sector.
  3. Strong portfolio showcasing content creation and campaign success.
  4. Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and visual communication skills.
  5. Proficiency in social media scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Later).
  6. Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Meta Insights, Google Analytics).
  7. Ability to manage multiple platforms and projects simultaneously.
  8. Creative mindset with attention to detail and brand consistency.
  9. Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  10. Good proficiency in CapCut or similar video editing tools for creating reels and short-form content.
  11. Photography, videography, or graphic design skills are a strong advantage.
