Job Position: Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Job Summary

Reddington Hospital Group is seeking a qualified and experienced Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to join our multidisciplinary clinical team.

The ideal candidate will provide high-quality specialist care in obstetrics and gynaecology, demonstrating clinical excellence, leadership, and a commitment to patient-centred service delivery.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Provide expert medical care in the management of obstetric and gynaecological conditions.
  2. Oversee antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care for patients.
  3. Perform surgical and non-surgical gynaecological procedures as required.
  4. Collaborate with other consultants, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  5. Participate in clinical meetings, training, and case reviews.
  6. Ensure compliance with professional and ethical standards of medical practice.
  7. Contribute to continuous quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB) from a recognised institution.
  2. Fellowship of the West African College of Surgeons (WACS) or National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria (NPMCN) in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
  3. Valid practising license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
  4. Minimum of 4 years post-fellowship experience as a Consultant O&G Specialist.
  5. Demonstrated expertise in both obstetric and gynaecological procedures.
  6. Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  7. Proven ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
